My first ....

Hi there everyone.
There is always a first time for everything...
So I thought, after winning the 3rd Prize in the "Design your Whirled" contest, it was a good time to write my first Journal.
First of all I would like to thank all of you that have faved my sculptures and added me to your deviant-watch.

Then, here are some comments about the Whirled.com. [link]
When I saw the news about the contest a month ago, I just wanted to try it and find out what it was all about.... and I got hooked instantaneously. For me, it was a completely new way of expressing my creativity. The tools I used wasn't really new(Photoshop and my Sculptures), but the media of creating a virtual world that other people could visit and go around in,was something completely new. I definitely can recommend everyone to try it out.
It was a joy to create a whirled based on my old sculpture family, called "Little Monsters"! [link]
I would like to thank Three rings and the Whirled crew for creating that new kind of forum.

hi, hi! i got that drawing done! in truth, i really didn't like the way it turned out....but whatever! i just LOVE the helmet design! anyway....here is the link: [link]

so, please comment and tell me what u think about it. i didn't want to replicate the helmet, so i added some touches. i might even redo it and add more stuff. if that ever happens ill let you know! OK, so that's it! HAPPY SCULPTING^^

p.s. i gave you credit on the drawing...so ur original helmet design is on the "artist's comments" part.

Hi there.

Thanks for the appreciation of my old dusty helmet :)
You sketch reminded me actually of my own sketch (also only side view) I made like 14 years ago back at university. At that time I got my inspiration from Bobba Fett's Space ship "Slave" during form exploration class.

I think your sketch is a great start. And as you said it has some tweaks and additional details that make it your own design.

thank you! i am glad you like it but i really dont have a thing for the drawing... but i just love the helmet design so much! would you mind if i keep on trying to redraw and change the helmet and stuff like that? i will still give you credit, and i will also try and let you know if i ever finish one. is that OK?
